Jalandhar: Rs 10 lakh fraud unleashed under guise of central scheme

Residents of West Constituency in Jalandhar are up in arms against an alleged case of fraud under the guise of a central government scheme. The complainant claims that a woman defrauded him of Rs 10 lakhs using the pretext of availing a scheme. According to the victim, the woman deceived him by falsely claiming that, under a central scheme, she could settle a 20-year debt for him. The remaining Rs 2 lakhs would be utilized in other expenses related to the scheme.
The complainant alleges that the woman, whose mother is accused of defrauding him, conned him of lakhs of rupees. He states that the woman, after taking money from him, registered a property in her name using his signature. Later, she took money for the sealing of the property and sealed it within her residence. The victim disclosed that he received a photo of the sealed door in Gazigulla but discovered that the woman had sealed her own house.
On the other hand, Pawan Kumar stated that he was defrauded of Rs 10 lakhs by another individual under the pretext of settling a property debt, with an additional Rs 70,000 taken from him. The accused individual revealed that the woman had purchased a property for Rs 35 lakhs, and she had asked him to pay Rs 26 lakhs. In this case, the victim handed over Rs 10 lakhs to another woman. Later, the accused ‘Thag Sahiba’ brought him to our office and took Rs 7 lakhs from us, of which Rs 3 lakhs were for sealing.
The complainant emphasized that the fraudulent woman resided in Gazigulla and after swindling him, fled the area.
