JAKHAR, RANDHAWA RESIGNATIONS NOT ACCEPTED

NEW DELHI: According to media reports, Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president Sunil Jakhar and Cabinet Minister Sukhjinder Randhawa submitted their resignations to Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh. The move came in light of the matter involving former IG Kunwar Vijay Pratap, who resigned from his position on April 14 over the investigation into the Kotkapura police firing case.

However, reports also claimed that the Punjab Chief Minister did not accept the resignations and instead tore off the letters. Reports claimed that Randhawa had said that they should resign since they were not “trusted”.
