Shubhangi Acharya’s film ‘Beyond’, based on the journey of a waste paper, has won the semi-finals in Europe’s Serbiast International Film Festival. Young director Shubhangi Acharya said that this film will be produced by Auropar organization’s Manifest Incubator India Foundation for the Dance. (IFA) and under the Dance Filmmaking Fellowship from Sony Pictures Limited.
In the film ‘Beyond’, the very common problem of cities and urbanization, waste management, has been expressed through dance and movement. The film shows how one person’s trash can be another’s priceless treasure. Explaining the importance of recycling through the journey of a waste paper, the film depicts the journey of a waste paper.
Who is Shubhangi Acharya?
Jaipur resident Shubhangi Acharya is a young filmmaker and photographer with 5 years of experience working in the development and entertainment industry. Active in the field of film direction in fiction and non-fiction formats with research, production, cinematography and post-production. She is passionate about working on issues related to gender, social justice and sustainable development. Which focuses on social awareness based film making.
Shubhangi received her schooling from Jaipur MGD Girls School and studied History Honors from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi.
