Jaipur Airport sees 16.8% rise in traffic in November

Passenger traffic at Jaipur International Airport experienced a noteworthy surge of 16.8 per cent in November. A total of 478,728 passengers travelled through Jaipur Airport during the month, with 452,550 being domestic travellers and 26,178 international. In October 2023, the total passenger traffic was 409,790. Non-scheduled traffic movements also witnessed a significant increase at Jaipur Airport.

“Passenger traffic increased by 16.8 per cent in November. The tourist and festive season is at its peak, resulting in more people travelling. This growth trend is expected to continue in the upcoming winter months,” stated senior officials at Jaipur Airport. According to airport authorities, the average air traffic movements in November remained at 4,632, while non-scheduled aircraft movements reached 948.

In October 2023, a total of 409,790 passengers travelled through Jaipur Airport, comprising 380,190 domestic and 29,600 international travellers. Experts suggest that the influx of people to Jaipur is attributed to participation in national conferences, tourism activities, and festivals taking place in the city. Additionally, with 2023 being an election year, political movements are also on the rise. Airline officials note that the number of bookings has begun to increase compared to previous months, signalling positive growth. This trend is expected to persist through the festive and tourist season.
