Officials say one additional terrorist was killed on Wednesday in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district during an engagement between security personnel and militants that began a day ago.
“Second terrorist has been gunned down in the ongoing encounter in Narla area of Rajouri,” Mukesh Singh, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Jammu said.
According to a top police official, one terrorist was shot dead and one Army soldier was killed in the Narla area shootout on Tuesday. In the exchange of fire, three security employees, including a Special Police Officer, were also injured.
“One terrorist neutralised; One Army jawan lost his life, three others including one police SPO injured in the ensuing encounter in Rajouri district,” Mukesh Singh, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Jammu said on Tuesday.
