India has abstained from voting to remove Iran from United Nations (UN) Commission on the Status of Women (CSW). The vote has been brought by US following the protests in the country as the aftermath of death of Mahsa Amini .
Iran has been removed from the body after 29 countries voted in favour of the vote while 8 countries including Russia, China, Zimbabwe, Bolivia, Oman, Nigeria, Nicaragua & Kazakhstan voted against.
