Haryana government is coming up with every possible effort to stop the farmers agitating to meet their demands specially implementation of Minimum Support Price (MSP) on crops and cancellation of FIRs lodged against them, from entering the state and once again citing the possibility of worsening of the law and order in the state, the Haryana government has extended suspension of internet services till February 15 in 7 districts of Haryana including Hisar, Sirsa, Kaithal, Jind, Ambala, Fatehabad and Kurukshetra along with Dabwali area of Sirsa. The fresh orders issued by the state government contains that, after assessment of the current prevailing law & order situation in the state, the conditions are still critical and tense in the district Ambala, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Jind, Hisar, Fatehabad and Sirsa. the Home Secretary is of the considered view that there is a clear potential of disruption of public utilities, damage to public assets and amenities and disturbance of public law and order in these districts on account of misuse of internet services by way of spread of inflammatory material and false rumours, which are being/could be transmitted/circulated to the public through social media/messaging services on mobile internet services, SMS services and other dongle services. This order is extended to prevent any disturbance of peace and public order in the jurisdiction of Districts Ambala, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Jind, Hisar, Fatehabad and Sirsa including Dabwali in the state of Haryana and shall be in force up to 15.02.2024 (23:59hrs). This order is being passed ex-parte in view of the emergent situation as explained in earlier paragraphs. Any person found guilty of violation of aforesaid order will be liable for legal action under relevant provisions.

It is pertinent to mention that the farmers who have come from Punjab to Delhi are mulling every possible strategy to enter Haryana in a bid to reach Delhi border keeping the state police on toes and these districts adjacent to Punjab have been considered sensitive. The intelligence report says that farmers from Punjab are continuously invoking farmers from other states to come to Delhi on social media and It is evident from the prevailing scenario the Central as well as Haryana governments will not allow farmers to sit on agitation in Haryana-Delhi border. In the information issued by the farmers to the media, it has been said that about 100 farmers have been injured during the action taken by the police to stop the farmers from going to Delhi. It was informed further the farmers will start heading towards Delhi from February 14 again.
