Folk art and culture of different states are coming alive in the ongoing International Geeta Jayanti Mahotsav in Kurukshetra, Haryana. The view of Mini India on the banks of Brahmasarovar in Dharmanagari is attracting
tourists. More than 800 craftsmen have arrived here, everyone is surprised to see their art. At the same time, artists from more than 13 states are leaving their mark on the folk culture of their states. The main programs of the International Geeta Jayanti Mahotsav, which started
on December 7, is to be organized from December 17 and will be inaugurated by Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar. Now it is expected that Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will also participate in it. Even though their programs have not been decided yet, preparations have been started by the Kurukshetra Development Board. It is expected that they can reach on 22nd or 23rd December during the main events. The stages of the main programs of the festival have started being decorated. While the main stage will be held in Purushottampura Bagh of Brahmasarovar, the pavilion of state partner Assam is also being prepared in front of it. Along
with this, the Haryana Pavilion will be decorated. A hi-tech exhibition of the Public Relations Department will be held in Purushottampura Bagh itself, while an exhibition will also be organized nearby for the first time by the Haryana Saraswati Heritage Board. Preparations have been started for this also. Before the main event, while film actress Bhagyashree will perform on 20th December, actor Nitish, who played the role of Shri Krishna in the Mahabharata serial, will perform on 23rd
December. Lakhs of devotees and tourists are reaching Kurukshetra to see this folk art and culture. At present, folk dance performances from states like Uttarakhand, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi, Mizoram,
Meghalaya, Assam, Tripura, Ladakh, West Bengal etc. are being given on the ghats of Brahmasarovar. On the other hand, KDB Honorary Secretary Upendra Singhal says that Union Home Minister and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is expected to arrive, but the final program has not been decided officially yet.
