Innovative way of campaigning: PM’s water to every household

Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur was traveling on the Manali highway to meet the Dalai Lama on his birthday when he suddenly came across a deep tube well. He personally went to pump the water and discovered that it was fresh drinking water. He called the local villagers and asked if they had access to clean drinking water at their doorsteps. When he received confirmation, he invited the people to drink the water. People started drinking, and the minister recorded the entire incident on video. Later, he tweeted the video on social media and received appreciation from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). Perhaps, in this way, he campaigned for the Prime Minister’s “Har Ghar Jal” program.
