INLD leader Abhay Chautala announces yatra, JJP faces Rajasthan setback

Abhay Chautala, the leader of the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), has announced plans for a yatra covering all constituencies starting from December 16. Taking a swipe at the Jannayak Janata Party (JJP), Chautala criticized the party, led by his brother Ajay Chautala and family, stating that the people of Rajasthan had delivered a rebuke to the JJP.
In the realm of sports, the 8th Junior and Sub-Junior Inter-district swimming event at the GHMC Pool in Secunderabad witnessed exceptional performances. Abhay Lakkoju and Sri Nithya Sagi clinched five titles each in the Group 2 boys and girls categories, while Hema Varshini Jambuluri secured four titles in the Group 1 girls category. Noteworthy achievements in the Group 1 boys category were marked by Thanmay Rithwick, Dhulipudi Varshith, M Sushanth Desai, Edakkolathur Stash Joseph, Jordan Dominic Franklin, and V Manidhar Rao. Meanwhile, Gagana Sri Rayidi, Sudhiksha Krishna, and Jigna Chowdary Yaganti stood out in the Group 1 girls category. Sri Nithya Sagi excelled in the Group 2 girls category, claiming victories in multiple events.
In the political landscape, the Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) faced a setback in the Rajasthan assembly polls. Dushyant Chautala, the party’s leader, witnessed defeat as none of the JJP candidates secured seats. The candidates faced humiliating losses, with only one managing to secure votes and finish third. Notably, the JJP’s vote percentage fell below that of Nota, CPI(M), AAP, and BSP. This marked the party’s inaugural election outside of Haryana, where Dushyant, Ajay Chautala, and Digvijay Chautala had extensively campaigned, seeking to leverage the political legacy of Devi Lal in Rajasthan.
Turning to the electoral arena in Rajasthan, the Tijara seat witnessed a contest between BJP candidate Balak Nath Yogi and Congress candidate Imran Khan. Allegations were made by Congress against Balak Nath, claiming the purchase of land in Canada. However, Balak Nath vehemently denied these unsubstantiated accusations. Describing the contest as an ‘India-Pakistan match,’ he positioned himself against ‘Talibani’ forces. Balak Nath, with deep roots in Alwar, hails from a farming family and has nurtured a strong sense of devotion. Guided by his guru, Mahant Chandnath, his political journey has been shaped, and he enjoys considerable support in the Tijara constituency despite being perceived as an outsider.
These developments showcase the dynamic political and sporting activities, capturing the essence of the current scenario in various domains.
