The president of Infosys, a leading provider of IT services, Ravi Kumar S, has resigned from his position effective immediately.
The company informed the market of his resignation on Tuesday night in a stock exchange statement. “The Board of Directors placed on record their deep sense of appreciation for the services rendered by Ravi Kumar S. for his contributions to the Company,” the stock filing said.
However, the petition omitted any mention of the grounds for his resignation.
According to reports, Ravi Kumar S joined Infosys in 2002 and was chosen to be its president in 2016.
He oversaw the Infosys worldwide delivery organisation in this capacity, directing services for digital transformation, application development, and maintenance, among other things.
At the Bhabha Atomic Research Center, Ravi Kumar S began his career as a nuclear scientist.
