Infighting intensifies in Haryana Congress

Amidst Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Joda Nyan Yatra’ started on January 14, infighting  has intensified in state Congress after state party incharge Deepak Babrai issued an  letter here on Tuesday  directing the party leaders not to conduct any separate campaign or program amid the ongoing  party›s ‹Har Ghar Congress Ghar Ghar Congress› in the state terming it the official program of state Congress. It is being a set back to the leaders of  SRK Group namely Kumari Selja, Randeep Surjewala and Kiran Chaudhary, arch rivals of Bhupender Singh Hooda. However, Deepak Babria has not mentioned the name of any particular leader but it is being considered a warning to the SRK faction which has announced to launch ‹Jansandesh Yatra› starting from Hisar on January 17.

Further it has been mentioned in the letter  that the «Ghar-Ghar Congress, Har Ghar Congress» campaign related to Rahul Gandhi›s «Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra» is the authorized program of the party but other programs come under the category of indiscipline. Therefore all Congress workers should refrain themselves from such programs. Not mentioning any leader›s name, he further said that  all party leaders are requested to give their full time and energy to the programs of the Congress Party and any action taken by deviating from the party line and disobeying the leadership will be unacceptable and subject to disciplinary action. he said that such actions weaken the party providing strengthen  to the  opponents. Collective dedication towards the organization along with comrades, ideological commitment, unanimity, discipline is our real strength.

Now it would be intriguing to see the reaction of the SRK faction over the letter issued by the state incharge. Political experts are of the opinion that  amid the  prevailing feud among the Hooda and SRK factions, Hooda faction succeeded in showcasing its strength in the state Congress as Hooda and aides are consistently opposing the  holding  of the Yatra to be conducted by SRK faction .

One of the party leaders said on anonymity that it is an uphill task for the party high command to bring the ongoing feud to an end as none of the factions seems to step back in a battle of political existence in the party.   Despite the repeated and continuous efforts, the party high command failed to unite the state party leaders so far, adding to its woes. With few months left in upcoming polls, both aforementioned factions of the state are stepping up to oust the ruling BJP-JJP led government in Haryana in the assembly elections.
