Indian Army Successfully Halts Unauthorized Entry at IB Sector in Akhnoor, Jammu

In a decisive operation, the Indian Army’s 16 Corps, known as the White Knight Corps, successfully thwarted an infiltration attempt in the International Border sector at Khour in the Akhnoor sector of Jammu district. The operation unfolded on the intervening nights of December 22-23, with the army detecting the suspected movement of four terrorists through surveillance devices.

The White Knight Corps posted on X, stating, “White Knight Corps foiled an infiltration bid in the IB sector of Khour, Akhnoor. A suspected move by four terrorists was seen through the surveillance devices on the night of December 22-23.” The post further confirmed that the terrorists were neutralized by effective fire.

This successful operation follows a recent terror attack in \ district, where four soldiers from the 16 Corps lost their lives, displaying exemplary bravery and making the supreme sacrifice. The Indian Army and White Knight Corps paid tribute to these soldiers, highlighting their dedication to combating the menace of terrorism.

The earlier attack occurred in the forest area of Dera ki Gali in Rajouri on December 21 when heavily armed terrorists ambushed two Army vehicles carrying troops in Thanamandi. The terrorists’ ambush resulted in four Army personnel losing their lives, while three others sustained injuries. The swift and immediate retaliation by Indian Army troops showcased their resilience and commitment to maintaining security in the region.

The White Knight Corps continues its vigilant efforts to safeguard the borders and protect the nation from external threats. The successful counter-terrorism operation is a testament to the Indian Army’s determination to thwart any nefarious activities along the International Border and maintain peace in the region.
