Indian Army empowers village defence committee members

In a concerted effort to fortify internal security measures, the Indian Army orchestrated a dynamic workshop and weapon training session tailored for members of the Village Defence Committee (VDC) in Siyal-Sui, Rajouri. The event witnessed the active participation of 115 VDC members alongside dedicated trainers, embodying the collaborative spirit in enhancing local defense capabilities.

The workshop served as a platform for VDC members to showcase their adeptness in weapon handling, underscoring their unwavering commitment to honing vital self-defense skills. With a focus on augmenting the VDC’s role in ensuring community safety, the training session was meticulously crafted to empower each participant with advanced techniques and insights.

A multifaceted session encompassing lectures and practical demonstrations delved into crucial aspects such as Weapon Handling, Cleaning, Musketry, and Minor Repairs of Weapons. This comprehensive approach aimed to equip VDC members with comprehensive knowledge while fostering camaraderie and synergy among attendees.

Moreover, the workshop provided a conducive environment for dialogue on the broader responsibilities of the VDC, including strategies to inspire younger generations to pursue careers in defense services and steer clear of the perils of narcotics.
