India wins men’s 4x400m relay gold

HANGZHOU: The Indian men’s relay team, consisting of Amoj Jacob, Muhammed Anas Yahiya, Rajesh Ramesh, and Muhammad Ajmal Variyathodi, won a gold medal in the 4x400m relay at the Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou. They finished with a time of 3 minutes and 1.58 seconds. India secured their spot in the finals by recording the fastest time of 3 minutes and 3.81 seconds in the heats, beating teams from Qatar, Japan, and Iraq. It’s worth noting that this same team set an Area Record in the event during the Athletics World Championships in Belgium, where they clocked 2 minutes and 59.05 seconds to qualify for the finals, ultimately finishing second behind the USA.
