The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) announced that the 10th round of India-Japan consultations on disarmament, non-proliferation, and export control took place in Tokyo on April 24, 2024. Discussions between the two sides (India-Japan) encompassed various topics such as disarmament and non-proliferation issues related to nuclear, chemical, and biological realms, outer space security, conventional weapons, and export control. The Indian delegation, led by Muanpuii Saiawi, Joint Secretary (Disarmament and International Security Affairs) from the Ministry of External Affairs, engaged with the Japanese delegation headed by Katsuro Kitagawa, Director General for Disarmament, Non-proliferation, and Science Department from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
