In Bengal, several disgruntled BJP MLAs write to central leadership

The revolt in the Bengal BJP is not stopping. At first there was dissatisfaction with the organizational reshuffle of the party. As a result, several BJP MLAs in the state left several WhatsApp groups of the party. This time a total of 9 MLAs from Bankura and Purulia have written letters directly to the central leadership. None of the rebels spoke in detail about the content of the letter. However, some of the MLAs have admitted to sending the letter.

According to sources, Bankura MLA Niladrishekhar Dana, Onda MLA Amarnath Shakha, Sonamukhi MLA Divakar Gharami and Indus MLA Nirmal Kumar Dhara have sent separate letters to BJP all-India president JP Nadda, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and others. On the issue, Niladrishekhar said, “The district president of the party always to be a leader. Otherwise, he will not be able to hold the organization. If the president thinks that he will follow the lead of others, then the party will not run. We want a strong district president in the organization to resist the threats and intimidation of the ruling party. In this situation, many old cadres of the party have sat in our district. We have written to the central leadership so that they can work with dignity in the party.”

According to BJP sources, the party’s district presidents were reshuffled on December 25 in Bankura and Bishnupur. Bankura organizational district president Vivekananda Patra has been removed to Sunil Rudra Mandal. Bishnupur organizational district president Sujit Agasti has been removed and Bilbeshwar Singh has been appointed to the post. After this reshuffle, the tone of rebellion could be heard in the fromseveral BJP MLAs. The next day, the four MLAs left the party’s multiple state and district-level WhatsApp groups. Now, a little further down that road, the rebelling leaders sat down with a letter addressed directly to the central leadership.

Mutiny within the BJP is on the rise in Purulia district as well. It is learned that five BJP MLAs have written a direct letter to the party’s all-India president demanding change of party president in Purulia district.
