Illegal structures worth crores bulldozed in Jaipur

A bulldozer was operated near Chandpol on Monday morning. Heritage Nagar Municipality initiated action on the land adjacent to the Chandpol grain market. Nearly 300 square yards of land had an illegal shop constructed by erecting tin sheds. The municipality, amidst heavy police deployment, demolished the illegal shop with the help of JCB.
According to municipal officials, the land adjacent to the Chandpol grain market was fraudulently leased from the municipality. Subsequently, the lessee started constructing a shop by erecting tin sheds. Upon complaint, the municipal administration investigated and found the lease to be fake. In response, the municipality cancelled the lease.
On Monday, amid heavy police deployment from the Vigilance Task Force, action was taken between Sanjay Circle Police Station and Nahargarh Police Station. There was little resistance upon seeing the police deployment.
