In the district of Bathinda, Delhi’s competent authorities seized illegally acquired property, valued at Rs. 35,22,829/- under the NDPS Act, from drug traffickers. The district police, after freezing the properties of four drug traffickers on Thursday, displayed related action posters in the area. Harmanbir Singh Gill, IPS SSP Bathinda, informed during a press briefing that 24 NDPS cases were sent to Delhi’s competent authorities. Confirmation for four cases has been received, valued at approximately around 3 crores, while the remaining 20 cases are pending confirmation.
Furthermore, Bathinda police will forward more identified narcotics for confiscation to Delhi’s competent authorities. Moreover, in confirmed cases in Bathinda district, orders mandate the pasting of notices on the homes of the accused. As per these orders, the properties, once confirmed, cannot be sold or transferred under relatives/family names. The SSP urged everyone to caution drug traffickers, relatives, and villagers about the dire consequences of engaging in such illicit activities and advised them to refrain from it.
Speaking with journalists, City SP Narendra Singh mentioned that the properties of four drug traffickers were frozen on Thursday, and notices were affixed to their frozen properties. He clarified that these traffickers would not be able to sell the related properties, and further actions would be taken by the government.
