‘I Was Hungry’: Student Ate A Banana Worth Rs 1 Crore At Seoul Museum Of Art

A Seoul National University art student ate a banana worth Rs 1 crore at the Leeum Museum of Art in Seoul because he was hungry. The banana was part of artist Maurizio Cattelan’s installation ‘Comedian’ and had been affixed to the wall using duct tape.
The ‘art piece’ had previously been eaten by performance artist David Datuna at the Art Basel event in Miami in 2019.
The student, identified as Noh Huyn-soo, approached the exhibit, unpeeled, ate, and then re-taped the peel back onto the wall. When asked why he did it, Soo replied that he ate it because he was hungry.
