Actress Rhea Chakraborty and her family have not received summons from the CBI as a part of the investigations into the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, Rhea’s lawyer said on Monday. The lawyer added that they would appear before the central agency if they were called. Meanwhile CBI sources too said that no summons were issued to them.
So far, the actress has been questioned twice by the Enforcement Directorate, which is probing into Sushant’s father’s allegations that crores were taken out of his son’s account. A special CBI team is also in Mumbai since Friday after the Supreme Court ordered the agency to take over the case last week. On Monday, a team of officials from the agency also visited Waterstone Hotel in Mumbai’s Andheri East as a part of the probe. Sushant Singh Rajput’s family has accused the actor’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty of financial fraud and abetment of suicide and has filed a case against her in Patna.
