They say technology has made our lives easier but at the same time, it’s too much reliance has caused some nasty incidents in human lives.
The tourist groups from Hyderabad fell victim to one of those instances where technology, at times, can be unforgiving.
Recently, the four youths from Hyderabad made a visit to a beautiful hill station named Munnar, which is located in the state of Kerala.
While driving to the Alappuzha’s boat destination at 3 am on Saturday, this tourist group decided to use Google Maps for navigation.
Unfortunately, due to heavy rains, the road was overflowing with water coming from the pond, as a result, they weren’t able to differentiate between road and water.
Being new to the area, they mistakenly landed in the water body. However, due to their quick thinking and determination, they managed to successfully escape.
Recounting its experience, one of the tourists stated the following,
“We were taken aback and soon realized it was water all around. We knew we had to escape and did it by opening the back side of the vehicle.”
Later, they also managed to get back their vehicle.
