Though Shivraj Singh Chouhan will be the CM face of the BJP for the upcoming Madhya Pradesh election, the party’s central leadership has taken over the charge of the campaign in the state. In fact, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is personally looking over the election preparations in the face of speculations that the BJP may face an uphill task to save the government from Congress’ aggressive campaign. The Home Minister has already visited the state twice within a short span of time. Sources say Shah may visit the state “quite often”. One of the main reasons is that the state party is deeply faction-ridden which may harm the party’s prospects.
