Home Guard personnel arrested with Rs 1.33 lakh fake currency

A Home Guard personnel has been arrested by the Tamil Nadu Crime Branch officials on Saturday and seized counterfeit notes worth Rs 1.33 lakh. Meanwhile, the arrested accused has been identified as Rajeswaran from Morpannai. “Subsequently, the accused was apprehended and during the search, it was found that he had counterfeit notes of Rs 1,33,500 and it was confiscated,” Ramanathapuram Crime Branch Police officials said. However, further investigation is underway.
