American author, astrologer, teacher and a strong advocate of Hindutva, David Frawley shared his views on a volley of issues at Festival of Ideas, from Hindu phobia to rise of jealousy against the Hindu community across the world.
Q: Why is Hindu phobia prevailing across the world?
A: It is mainly because of lack of information about Hindu culture, tradition and way of life. Most of the people, who believe in concocting false narrative about one of the oldest religions of the world, do so because they have hardly practised this religion in their day-to-day life. In a way, they are spoon-fed and given a distorted fact about this religion and that is why, I have spent a big part of my career writing, teaching and travelling for the very purpose of making people aware of this religion.
Q: And why jealousy about this religion?
A: As a matter of fact, Indian diaspora have been doing well across the world—be it America, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand. By dint of the their hard work, they have created their own niche in a number of fields—be it medical, engineering, social service and this is main reason behind jealousy against them.
Q: Yet, Hindu organisations have got respect of one and all.
A: Unlike Hindus, Christians have formed a multinational conversion business. They have created giant corporations with international connections operating worldwide, with international funding. India is their prime target. He further said that Hindus should not be so naïve and they should be realistic as per the need of the emerging global scenarios.
