HIGH VOTER TURNOUT RECORDED IN DUBBAK BYPOLL

Polling for Dubbak by-elections concluded on a peaceful note except technical glitches in EVMs at a few places and around 81.44 voter turnout has been recorded till 5 pm.The polling was held across 315 polling centres. In the 2018 elections, 89.85 voter turnout was registered. Meanwhile, the exit polls for Dubbaka gave mixed results . One survey said the ruling party TRS will win the seat. It claimed that the TRS candidate might get 51 to 54 per cent vote share to get a resounding victory. The BJP nominee may finish second with 33 to 36 per cent vote share, according to this survey. The Congress would be left far behind the two main parties as it would get just eight to eleven per cent votes, said the survey.04/11/2020

But the other survey projected BJP as the winner. The TRS fielded ex MLA Ramalinga Reddy’s widow Sujatha in the hope of gaining strong sympathy from the voters. Congress party had fielded Cheruku Srinivas Reddy, the son of the late former minister Cheruku Muthyam Reddy and BJP nominated Raghunandan Rao.
