A hoax bomb-threatening call was made to Bengaluru’s Vidhana Soudha claiming that there was a bomb in the building. A 41-year-old man from Bengaluru’s electronic city was arrested for making the hoax call.
At 2:05 pm, the individual, who goes by the name Prashanth KV, called the chief secretary’s office to report that an explosive device had been placed at the Vidhana Soudha. Police officers at the Vidhana Sodha started a search and made the local security forces aware of the situation. However, it was eventually discovered that the call was a hoax, and the caller was charged.
Within a short time, the suspect was apprehended and taken to jail by the court. Additionally, it has been said that Prashanth’s mental health has not been great. After two marriages and a divorce, he even recently abandoned his IT career. Prashanth, who is from Hospet in Karnataka, has been residing in Hebbagodi, a neighbourhood close to the electronic city.
Following an inquiry, the police discovered that Prashanth had previously made hoax phone calls. “In the call, he came off as very inexperienced and naive. We started the search because we didn’t want to take a chance, a cop told the publication.
