Haryana steelers ready to take on Puneri Paltan after strong start in Pro Kabaddi League 10

The Pro Kabaddi League 10 action moves to Pune as the Haryana Steelers gear up to face the Puneri Paltan at the Balewadi Sports Complex on Friday. After a promising beginning in Bengaluru, the Haryana franchise is set to tackle the Puneri challenge with confidence.
The Haryana Steelers, co-captained by Mohit Nandal, have showcased their resilience with two impressive victories in three games after a setback in their opening match against UP Yoddhas in Ahmedabad, where they suffered a 57-27 defeat. Reflecting on their performance, Nandal highlighted the team’s increased confidence, effective communication, and the strategic brilliance of the coaching staff.
“We have won two back-to-back matches after losing the first game, and it has increased the confidence of the team. The players are motivated and we are forming good combinations. All the players are communicating well with each other. The best part of the season so far has been the plans that are being devised by the coaches,” said Nandal, expressing optimism ahead of the fourth game of the season.
Delving into the team’s rebound strategy after the initial setback, Nandal revealed, “We lost by a big margin in the first game. The team morale was hit. But our Coach Manpreet Singh told us that it was just the first game and it always takes time to form good combinations.” The Bengaluru leg saw the Steelers clinch victories against Bengaluru Bulls (38-32) and Dabang Delhi (35-33), with key players like Siddharth Desai, Jaideep, and Mohit contributing significantly. Siddharth Desai emerged as the star performer with 21 points, while Jaideep and Mohit anchored the team’s defense with 10 and 8 points, respectively.
“The Bengaluru leg was quite good for us. Our key learning is that it is important to communicate between the players. If we can play together as a team, we can put ourselves in winning situations at all times,” remarked Mohit, emphasizing the significance of teamwork. As they face Puneri Paltan in front of the home crowd, Mohit expressed confidence in the team’s preparation and strategies. “We will face off against Puneri Paltan in front of their home crowd. We have already discussed our plans, and the teams will look to play as per the strategies discussed by the team. We are confident of getting a good result from the game,” he concluded.
The Haryana Steelers are set to bring their A-game to Pune, aiming to maintain their winning momentum in the ongoing Pro Kabaddi League 10.
