Haryana Governor advocates adoption of Guru’s ideals for national strength

Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya offered prayers and sought blessings at the historic Nada Sahib Gurudwara on the occasion of Prakash Parv of Guru Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji in Sikhism.

On this occasion, Dattatreya mentioned that Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti is being celebrated with great pomp across the country. Guru Gobind Singh Ji was a great saint and warrior who founded the Khalsa Panth to protect the religion. Before this, the Governor bowed his head at Nishan Saheb and circumambulated. He highlighted that Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji sacrificed his entire family to protect the country and religion. The Guru created warriors and established the Khalsa sect.

The Governor emphasized the need for both weaponry and religious knowledge in the country. Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji considered the defense of the country supreme by donning arms. The Governor called upon the people to adopt the ideals of Guru Gobind Singh Ji in their lives, as it would be a true tribute to him. He expressed that the future generation of the country should be made aware of the history of Shri Gobind Singh Ji so that they can take inspiration from his life and contribute to making the country stronger and more powerful.

The Governor stated that the Ram temple of Ayodhya is a symbol of entire humanity. He emphasized that Shri Ram resides in the hearts of 140 crore people of the country and should not be linked to any one religion.

On this occasion, the General Secretary of Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, Ramnik Singh Mann, presented Siropa and the picture of Guru Gobind Singh Ji to Governor Bandaru Dattatreya. He also presented the Zafarnama of Guru Gobind Singh Ji to the Governor.

Present at the event were Deputy Commissioner Sushil Sarwan, Deputy Commissioner of Police Sumer Pratap Singh, Municipal Magistrate Rajesh Poonia, Naib Tehsildar Hardev Singh, Honorary General Secretary of Haryana Child Welfare Council Ranjita Mehta, Manager of Nada Sahib Gurdwara Sardar Paramjit Singh, and other dignitaries
