Haryana has stepped forward to assist Israel, currently facing conflict with Hamas, by providing 10,000 workers for construction projects. The Haryana Skill Employment Corporation has issued recruitment notices for this initiative. Due to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, there is a significant shortage of workers in Israel, prompting the Haryana government to prepare and send skilled workers. These workers will receive both salary and living facilities.
In addition to assisting Israel, the government has announced 170 job vacancies in Dubai and the UK, with applications invited through an advertisement issued by the Haryana Government. The advertisement specifies 3,000 posts for building framework, 2,000 posts for installing ceramic tiles, 2,000 posts for plastering walls, and 3,000 posts for iron bending. The minimum education requirement for applicants is 10th pass, with a mandatory 3 years of experience. Applicants must be aged between 25 to 45 years. Workers will receive 6100 New Israeli Shekels (NIS) per month, approximately Rs 1 lakh 38 thousand 235 in Indian currency. The work involves 26 days a month, with 236 fixed hours per month, and overtime will be as per company rules.
Furthermore, the Haryana government has invited applications for 40 bouncers for Dubai and 120 nurses for the UK. Employment remains a significant issue in Haryana, with recent surveys indicating high unemployment figures. The Congress consistently criticizes the Haryana government based on these figures. In July of this year, in response to Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP from Haryana Deependra Hooda, Labor and Employment Minister Rameshwar Teli stated that the unemployment rate in Haryana was 2.9 percent in the year 2013-14, increasing to about 9 percent in 2021-22.
