HARYANA CM KHATTAR INTERACTS with beneficiaries of PM-SVANIDHI Yojana

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal directly interacted with the beneficiaries of the PM-SVANidhi Yojana through a virtual medium here on Saturday. The Chief Minister said that during the Covid phase, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave the slogan Atmanirbhar Bharat and launched the PM-SVANidhi scheme.
Expressing gratitude towards the Chief Minister, the beneficiaries stated that this scheme launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has turned out to be a blessing for them. In this scheme, the beneficiary receives an amount of Rs 10,000 without any interest, which may assist them in beginning and growing their own business. The Haryana government has also done welfare work by providing funds for employment to the needy.
Manohar Lal said that about 55 thousand people had applied under the PM-SVANIDHI scheme in Haryana. Out of these, about 36 thousand eligible street vendors received loan assistance. A total loan of Rs 48 crore has been disbursed so far. 7 percent interest on this loan is given by the central government, and 2 percent interest is given by the state government. So far, an amount of more than Rs 1 crore has been paid to the banks as interest.
Manohar Lal said that the number of street vendors in the state is above 1 lakh, so the beneficiaries who have taken advantage of this scheme should encourage others to take advantage of its benefits. The government aims to benefit 1 lakh people across the state. For this, fairs will be organized to provide loans to street vendors. The objective of these fairs is to motivate the street vendors to grow their businesses. Under this scheme, street vendors are given a loan of Rs 10,000 as the first installment, Rs 20,000 as the second installment, and Rs 50, 000 as the third installment. The beneficiary is not required to give any guarantee for this loan.
The Chief Minister said that the Haryana government is also running several schemes for the welfare and upliftment of poor families. The data of the members of 72 lakh families in the state has been collected through Parivar Pehchan Patra. Special attention is being paid to the upliftment of families whose annual income is less than Rs 1.80 lakh.
