Acting on different complaints of bribery, the Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau has arrested three officials and a tout, including a Police Post in-charge Sub-Inspector and two Patwaris, for allegedly accepting bribes of Rs 5,10,000.
A spokesperson of the Anti-Corruption Bureau said that in the first case, the ACB team has arrested two patwaris for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 5 lakh for releasing the compensation claim of the complainant’s land, which was acquired by the government. Shiv Kumar, Patwari, presently posted in the Land Acquisition Office, Urban Estate, Hisar, has been caught red-handed accepting a Rs 5 lakh bribe. The accused was demanding Rs 20 lakh. Another accused Ashok Kumar, Patwari, posted in the land acquisition office in Panchkula, has been arrested after his connivance came to light.
In this case, the ACB also charged Balraj, Section Officer of HSVP Panchkula.
