In a significant breakthrough, Gurgaon police have arrested Goldie Barad, an associate of notorious criminal Lawrence Bishnoi, in connection with kidnapping and extortion cases. The arrest follows the indications provided by Goldie Barad during the interrogation of Vikas, one of Bishnoi’s accomplices, who was apprehended by the Gurgaon police in May.
Goldie Barad was allegedly involved in orchestrating kidnappings and extortions based on signals from Lawrence Bishnoi. The police, posing as Haryana law enforcement officers, had been working to thwart a major kidnapping operation planned by Barad.
Even before the kidnapping took place, Gurgaon police had apprehended seven associates of the accused Vikas in May from the Bhondsi area. Three of these individuals were already wanted by the Gurgaon police in connection with various crimes.
The Gurgaon police had been on high alert after receiving information about the potential kidnapping, and their swift action resulted in preemptive arrests. Among the apprehended individuals, Goldie Barad was identified as the main mastermind.
In total, Gurgaon police have now made eleven arrests in connection with these criminal activities. The primary mastermind, Vikas alias Vicky, was on the run but was finally captured. Goldie Barad, who hails from Gokulpur in Rajasthan, was actively coordinating criminal activities over the phone, providing instructions to his associates for carrying out various criminal acts. The police had announced a reward of 1 lakh for information leading to the arrest of Goldie Barad, emphasizing the seriousness of the charges against him. The accused were allegedly involved in a range of criminal activities, including multiple cases of loot, extortion, kidnapping, and attempted murder. Gurgaon police have filed charges against the accused based on the evidence gathered during the investigation.
Goldie Barad, who was arrested in a joint operation by the Gurgaon and Sikar police, was traced to Gokulpur in Rajasthan.
