Group of hackers deletes data of KN Modi Foundation, demands crypto worth a million dollars to resolve the issue

A group of hackers stole and deleted all the data of KN Modi Foundation’s educational institutions and are asking for cryptocurrency worth USD 1 million to give it back and resolve the issue.

Sandeep Kumar Yadav has informed the police official, SP(Rural) Iraj Raja, about the situation. In his complaint, he reported that the hackers have deleted all the students’ and staff’s data from the institute’s database.

The police have registered an FIR against two unknown persons under Section 507 (criminal intimidation by an anonymous communication) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and relevant sections of the IT Act.
