Greenfield Expressway to connect Haryana & Rajasthan enhancing connectivity

Rajasthan and Haryana are set to receive a significant infrastructure boost with the introduction of a new Greenfield Expressway. This 6-lane expressway, spanning 86 kilometers, will connect the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway to the Trans Haryana Expressway. The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) is allocating approximately 1400 crores for the construction of this vital link.
The Greenfield Expressway will commence at Alwar in Rajasthan, linking the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway to the Trans Haryana Expressway. The NHAI aims to create a state-of-the-art highway, enhancing connectivity between Narnaul in Haryana and Alwar in Rajasthan. The project is expected to kickstart soon, with the tendering process already underway.
The route for this expressway will traverse 86 kilometers, featuring six lanes. It will be connected to the Trans Haryana Expressway near Paniyala village, close to Kotputli in Rajasthan. Currently, the Trans Haryana Expressway is linked to the Delhi-Jaipur Expressway near Paniyala. This strategic connection will eliminate the need for vehicles traveling from Ambala to Mumbai to enter Delhi, reducing travel time and easing traffic congestion in the national capital.
The expressway is anticipated to bring substantial time savings for commuters traveling between Ambala and Mumbai. It will provide a direct route, bypassing the need to enter Delhi, thereby reducing travel time by 3 to 4 hours. Additionally, the new expressway is expected to alleviate traffic congestion in the Delhi-NCR region. The project aligns with the government’s commitment to bolster infrastructure and enhance connectivity, facilitating smoother and more efficient transportation between states.
