Grand planning meeting for Ayodhya’s Shri Ram Lala consecration held

Chandigarh witnessed a gathering of thousands of devoted followers of Lord Ram as the planning meeting for the consecration of Shri Ram Lala in Ayodhya on January 22 unfolded. The meeting, organized by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Abhiyan Committee, Chandigarh, took place at Law Bhawan Sector 37.
Led by the organization’s convenor, Pradeep Sharma, the meeting outlined local programs to be conducted during the consecration ceremony. Distinguished individuals from the city, including Prem Goyal and leaders from various religious and social organizations, were present to contribute to the planning.
The upcoming event, scheduled on the auspicious day of Shukla Dwadashi Vikram Samvat 2080 (Monday, January 22, 2024), will witness the consecration of the child form of Lord Shri Ram in the new temple on Shri Ram Janmabhoomi.
As part of the local program, communities will gather in temples across sectors, localities, villages, and colonies between 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on January 22. Bhajans and kirtans will be sung, and the consecration ceremony from Ayodhya will be broadcasted on screens. Conch sounds, bell ringing, and Aarti Prasad distribution will add to the festive atmosphere.The program’s format will be temple-centric, featuring collective chanting, Hanuman Chalisa recitation, and live telecast of the consecration ceremony on Doordarshan and multiple channels. Following the ceremony, citizens are encouraged to illuminate lamps at their homes, creating a Diwali-like celebration worldwide.
Leading up to the event, a mega campaign is set to begin on January 1, distributing ritually worshiped Akshat and Ram temple images in Ayodhya Dham to families in Chandigarh as invitations for the historic occasion.
