Actor Govinda Joins Shiv Sena

Actor Govinda Ahuja joined Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena party. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde welcomed Govinda into the party by handing over the saffron flag. After this, it was expected that Eknath Shinde would announce Govinda as a candidate in the Lok Sabha elections.

Govinda gained prominence in 2004 by defeating BJP leader Ram Naik in the Mumbai North Lok Sabha seat. Shinde welcomed Govinda into the party, highlighting his widespread popularity.

Govinda, reflecting on his political journey from 2004 to 2009, expressed surprise at returning to politics after a 14-year hiatus. He also mentioned a potential focus on the arts and culture sector.

Additionally, Govinda praised the development of Mumbai under Eknath Shinde’s leadership.
