Government is committed to the welfare of martyrs’ families: CM Manohar Lal

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal has reaffirmed his commitment to the welfare of martyrs’ families by approving immediate appointments for the sister of the brave soldier Sepoy Satyawan from the 10 Para Regiment. The sister, Manju Rani, will be appointed to a Group C post in the Department of Elementary Education, and she will also be posted in the home district of Charkhi Dadri.
Chief Minister Manohar Lal directed that once Manju Rani clears the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET), she should be offered the position of a TGT teacher. Sepoy Satyawan sacrificed his life for the nation during ‘Operation Rakshak.’
Taking another step towards the welfare of sisters of martyrs, the Chief Minister instructed the Chief Secretary’s office to provide similar concessions in policy for compassionate appointments to all sisters of martyrs whose cases are pending.
He highlighted that the policy in force on May 30, 2014, and September 28, 2018, did not grant employment concessions to the sisters of martyrs. In 2019, Chief Minister Manohar Lal had previously granted a compassionate appointment to the sister of martyr Kapil Kundu, Smt. Kajal Kundu, as an Assistant Employment Officer.
The Chief Minister had directed that amendments be made to the policy to provide compassionate appointments to eligible sisters of martyrs. The revised policy, effective from the evening of August 14, 2023, expanded the definition of the term ‘sister’ in the purview of families of martyrs. The Chief Minister’s directive reflects the government’s commitment to honor and support the families of martyrs.
