Gehlot’s Rajiv Gandhi Rural and Urban Olympics initiative concluded

On Monday, the four-day district-level Rajiv Gandhi Rural and Urban Olympics came to an end with a grand ceremony held at the Government Higher Secondary School on Bhilwara Road in Shahpura.
The ceremony, presided over by District Collector Teekam Chand Bohra and chaired by Municipal President Raghunandan Soni, saw winners and runners-up in various sports being honoured with certificates, medals, and tracksuits.
During the event, students also presented cultural performances that energized the athletes. District Collector Teekam Chand Bohra announced the conclusion of the district-level Rajiv Gandhi Rural and Urban Olympics.
The district collector addressed the athletes, emphasizing that the government is organizing these urban and rural Olympic competitions to identify sporting talents and encourage them. He stressed the importance of sports alongside education for the holistic development of students. He congratulated all the winning teams and athletes and wished them success at the state level. During the program, international swimmers Firdaus Kayamkhani and Lucky Ali Khan were also honoured.
District Sports Coordinator and Organizer Gopal Krishna Sultania informed that there were a total of 140 winners from various sports disciplines.
Prominent figures present at the ceremony included Additional District Magistrate Chandra Dubey, SDM Puneet Gelda, Municipal Commissioner Bhanu Pratap Singh, District Education Officer Rameshwar Lal Baldi, and Block Congress President Dilip Gurjar.
