G20 Summit: New Delhi all set to welcome the global leaders

In order to make sure that the G20 Summit, which will host world leaders on September 9 and 10, runs smoothly, New Delhi has gone all out with colorful murals, graffiti, and painted walls. The world’s top leaders will attend the G20 Summit in New Delhi, which is being hosted by India. The US President Joe Biden, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will all be in attendance at the summit in the nation’s capital. Over 1 lakh potted plants have been used by the authorities to spruce up roads, footpaths, roundabouts, markets, flyovers, and public spaces. The Delhi Police has tightened security across the city on the security front. On Friday morning, the Delhi Police continued its security checks.

In order to ensure a safe and secure event, the six NSG dog squad members Zenon, Ming, Zone, Zozo, and Zinger, along with their handlers, frequently checked inside and outside Rajghat from early on Thursday morning until late at night on various occasions. Along with their other coworkers who have been strategically placed at the Pusa campus and the India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO), two additional locations where the Summit and associated events are scheduled, are these specially trained security personnel from the NSG’s dog squad.

The nation’s capital has also implemented curbs on traffic laws. Due to the summit, the New Delhi district will be a Controlled Zone-I from Friday at 5 am until Sunday at 11:59 pm. The movement of buses into the city from the Rajokari border has been halted with effect from September 8 through September 10, the Delhi Traffic Police announced on Friday morning. Online delivery services have been prohibited in the area surrounding the G20 summit venue and the delegates’ hotels, with the exception of prescription medications.
