Fragile alliance shatters: BJP’s Kavinder Gupta

The brittle alliance of the People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) has crumbled into pieces, marking the tragic end of a ‘marriage of convenience,’ asserted senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta. Following the National Conference’s (NC) unilateral decision to contest all three Lok Sabha seats in the Valley, Gupta noted that the acerbic reaction from PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti signifies the alliance’s disintegration.

Gupta stated that political pundits had foreseen such an outcome, emphasizing the vast ideological and interest disparities among the five political outfits that formed the alliance. He attributed the alliance’s breakdown to the changing political landscape in Kashmir, with the BJP gaining ground and garnering support from the masses, making the continuation of the PDP and NC inevitable.

Mehbooba Mufti accused the NC of reducing the PAGD to a mere joke after Farooq Abdullah’s party decided to go solo in all three Lok Sabha seats in Kashmir.

Gupta predicted that the INDIA bloc would face a similar fate as internal discord has already surfaced within the group. He urged people not to be swayed by short-lived and purposeless collaborations, asserting that the BJP provides a stable option. Gupta called on the public to wholeheartedly support the BJP for the stable future of J&K and the entire country, emphasizing the party’s commitment to development.

In a separate event, Kavinder Gupta inaugurated multiple Bhandaras organized on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri in the Gandhi Nagar constituency. He urged people to preserve J&K’s rich cultural heritage and maintain communal harmony and brotherhood.
