MUMBAI : Four individuals have been apprehended for defrauding a female media executive in Mumbai of Rs 9.68 lakh through a deceptive “task” involving Google Maps ratings. The victim reported the incident to Crime Branch Unit V, triggering an investigation. She explained that she initially earned some money but ultimately lost Rs 9.68 lakh after being assured returns of Rs 26 lakh. The police investigation led to the arrest of the four culprits, located in Haryana, Pune, and Ahmednagar in Maharashtra. Additionally, authorities have seized Rs 3.7 lakh in cash and frozen Rs 9.27 lakh in the main accused’s bank account.
