Andhra Pradesh: Forest fire in Kailasagiri creates panic

Officials at the Srikalahasteeswara Swamy Devastanams in Srikalahsti, Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh, were terrified by a forest fire allegedly caused by human interference in the Kailasagiri hills in Tirupati.
According to officials from the Srikalahasti Devasthanam, a wildfire at the Kailasagiri hills was allegedly started by some miscreants who ventured into the forest area and spread quickly up to the Goshala near the Srikalahasti temple, causing panic among officials and locals. Despite frantic efforts by forest officials to put out the fire, they were unsuccessful. They later notified the local fire department, and fire tenders were dispatched to the Goshala. Officials from Srikalahasti Devasthanams stated that all efforts were being made to protect the 700 or so bovines housed at the Goshala.
