A massive fire broke out on Friday evening in the shops of Bhagirath Palace market of Chandni Chowk in Delhi.
Meanwhile, at the incident spot several fire tendors were sent, said Delhi Fire Service Director Atul Garg.
So far no casualties have been reported.
According to the officials, “the situation is not very good.” Major parts of the building have been damaged.
Informing about the situation, Delhi Fire Service Director Atul Garg said, “The situation is not very good as of now. 40 fire tendors are present at the spot. The fire will be brought under control by morning. No casualties have been reported so far. A major part of the building has been damaged.”
In the early hours of Friday, Former Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan visited the incident site where two buildings were completely damaged.
Moreover, the fire department received the information about the fire on Thursday night at 9:19 pm.
“The call was received at 9:19 pm. More than 30 fire tendors, including one unmanned firefighter, have been pressed into service,” the fire department said.
