Fire breaks out in building near Grant Road, no casualties reported

According to police, a fire started on Friday on the eleventh and twelfth floors of a building close to Mumbai’s Grant Road neighborhood. The fire, according to the police, was limited to the eighth and twelfth floors’ electric wiring, electric installations, furniture, doors, and household items. As soon as they received the information, fire services arrived on the scene and declared the fire to be a level 2. According to police, no injuries have been reported as of yet. Firefighters safely rescued people who were stuck on the 21st and 22nd floors to the terrace. Firefighters rescued about seven or eight individuals who were stuck on the fifteenth floor and transported them to the terrace via a staircase,” they added.
