Final voter list for LS polls published, reveals over 15.54 lakh new voters

The final voter lists for the upcoming Lok Sabha General Election 2024 have been published in Rajasthan, revealing an addition of 15,54,604 new voters aged 18-19 since the State Assembly General Elections held on November 25 last year. These newly registered voters, set to cast their votes for the first time, are part of the integrated voter lists of 199 assembly constituencies in the state.
Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Gupta announced the publication of the final electoral rolls on Thursday across all districts of the state. The lists, including data from 199 assembly constituencies, can be accessed on the department’s website ceorajasthan.nic.in, with the final publication for the Karanpur assembly constituency scheduled for February 13.
As of now, Rajasthan has a total of over 5.32 crore registered voters for the Lok Sabha General Election 2024, including the updated figures for the Karanpur Constituency.
The process of adding names to the voter lists will continue beyond February 8, allowing those yet to register to get their names added until 10 days before the last date of nomination for the Lok Sabha General Elections. Citizens can utilize the Voter Service Portal of the Election Commission of India, the Voter Helpline App, and the BLO App for voter registration.
Meeting with political parties
Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Gupta held a meeting with political party representatives, advising them to appoint Booth Level Agents (BLAs). District Election Officers have been directed to conduct meetings with recognized political parties at the district level and provide them with hard or soft copies of voter lists free of cost.
The Chief Electoral Officer emphasized caution in transfers based on designations, and the process of adding names to the voter lists will continue beyond the initial publication. The final electoral rolls are viewed as a critical preparation step for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, with a focus on enhancing inclusivity and accuracy in the voter lists.
