A 69-year-old man died and a four-year-old child was critically injured after being struck by an unidentified vehicle in Delhi’s Dwarka on Wednesday night, according to police reports. Both victims were taken to a private hospital for treatment, where Arun Kumar succumbed to his injuries.
The victims were identified as Arun Kumar (69) and Shreedha Goswami (4), and the incident occurred near the CNG Petrol Pump, Sector 17, Dwarka. Locals admitted both injured individuals to IG Hospital Sector 9, Dwarka, but they were later transferred to Vekesteswar Hospital. Police arrived at the hospital following the incident, and a case was registered on 21/2/24 under Section 279/337/304 A of the IPC at Dwarka North police station.
The police have found the victim’s scooty and are reviewing CCTV footage to apprehend the offender and the vehicle involved in the incident. Authorities are also seeking eyewitnesses to the crime. As of now, the accused individuals remain at large.
