In a tragic incident on the Garhshankar-Chandigarh road near the village of Panam, three individuals, including two motorcyclists and a bus passenger, lost their lives in a horrifying collision.
According to reports, a private bus belonging to a capital city-based company was traveling from Chandigarh to Garhshankar, while three individuals on a motorcycle were heading from Garhshankar to Balachaur. When both vehicles reached near the village of Panam, a severe collision occurred. The impact of the collision was so intense that two of the motorcyclists lost their lives on the spot, and one succumbed to injuries after being rushed to the hospital. The bus driver immediately fled the scene.
Eyewitnesses at the scene reported that the accident was a result of the high speed of the bus. In the casualties, Angoori Laal’s son Nikki and Roki’s son Hemraj, both residents of Pachnangal, are included.The Garhshankar police arrived at the scene, and the bodies of the deceased were taken to the Civil Hospital for post-mortem. Sub-Inspector Sukhvinder Singh from the coastal police station provided information, stating that further actions would be taken based on the statements of the families of the deceased after the post-mortem examinations are completed.
