FAROOQ APPEALS FOR MORE STEPS TO IMPROVE INDIA-PAK RELATIONS

Srinagar: Sitting MP from Srinagar and former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah has appealed to India and Pakistan to move forward on the path of amity and friendship and take more steps so that people on both sides of the border get relief from the hostile atmosphere. Farooq said that it was high time that they promote peace and start a new chapter of friendship for the betterment of South Asia and Central Asia.

Earlier Pakistani Army Chief has said that both the countries should bury the past and work together for the betterment of the people. After the recent ceasefire agreement between the DGMO’s of India and Pakistan, there has been a lot of talk about the agreement reached between India and Pakistan to move forward for the composite dialogue.

All the mainstream political leaders of Jammu and Kashmir have welcomed the latest bonhomie between India and Pakistan and have appealed to both the countries to move on the path of friendship and dialogue.

Border people in Jammu and Kashmir have already expressed their gratitude to the government for entering into a ceasefire agreement with Pakistan and have said that it has given them a much needed relief from the cross border firing.
