Farmers hold massive rally demanding MSP in Medata City

In a significant gathering at the agricultural produce market in Medata City, a grand farmers’ rally was organized. The farmers voiced their demands for the purchase of crops at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) from both the Rajasthan state government and the central government.
Key figures like Sardar Gurunam Singh Chadhuni, National President of BKU, Ram Pal Jat, National President of the Farmers’ Rally, and Suman Hooda, Women’s State President of BKU Haryana, actively participated in this mega rally. At this event, Indian Farmers Union (IFU) spokesperson Sushil Kumar Riyadh, farmer leader Jasram Chhaba, and farmer leader Ramakishan Jeeha paid tribute to the farmers’ leaders by garlanding them.
During this event, Sardar Gurunam Singh Chadhuni, the National President of BKU, stated that the farmers in Rajasthan are unable to sell their produce at MSP. This compels them to sell their grains at lower prices. Consequently, farmers are facing severe economic hardships, and instances of farmer suicides have increased in the state. He further stated that if the government doesn’t address these demands, the farmers will resume their protests shortly.
Ram Pal Jat, the National President of the Farmers’ Rally, said that in the upcoming elections, the party that implements the MSP law will garner the support of the farmers.
He highlighted the demands being made for the purchase of farmers’ produce at MSP. Suman Hooda, the Women’s State President of BKU Haryana, emphasized that farmers should have representation in politics. Until farmers have a stake in political power, they will not receive fair prices for their crops, and policies benefiting farmers will not be enacted.
